STUDIOS and Team7 International won an international competition to design this campus, which brings together the Shanghai Dance School along with the Shanghai Ballet and Dance Troupe headquarters and rehearsal spaces. Conceived as both a civic destination and a green refuge from the surrounding urban intensity, the campus creates a welcome pause within the city. Its architecture draws inspiration from the art of dance itself, with softly curving volumes that interact like performers in motion, shaping a continuous sense of flow and energy.
